Bradley Wiggins's father, Gary Wiggins, was an Australian professional cyclist, who was plying that trade in Belgium when his son was born. According to Wikipedia he left the family when Bradley was two, whereupon Wiggins Junior was taken by his mother back to her parents' home in Villiers Road, Willesden Green, north-west London.
